Medal of Labour 1st class

This reduction of the Belgian Labor Decoration First Class is a smaller metal version, in Dutch, designed as a wearable and practical version of the official decoration. Although more compact, it retains the same symbolism and details, including the oval shape with the blue enameled laurel wreath representing honor and merit. The central medallion also features the golden depiction of the traditional work helmet with crossed tools, symbolizing craftsmanship and work ethic. The inscriptions ‘BEKWAAMHEID – ZEDELIJKHEID’ are presented in Dutch and reflect the core values of ability, morality, and integrity.

The reduction is attached to a ribbon in the Belgian tricolor made of fine moiré fabric, finished with a matching rosette, making it a recognizable and honorable decoration suitable for everyday wear or informal occasions.
